"DANCE MADNESS"
Making A Change Performing Arts Company and Infinite Styles Crew presents the 2012 Dance Madness All Styles and BBoy Battles to be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at The Latvian Society. Many of the Philadelphia's and Surrounding Area’s top hip hop dancers have confirmed participation. Dance Madness All Styles and BBoy Battles are open to dancers of all ages.
Winners will receive medals and cash prizes – 1st place $500.
How to enter
If you Lock, Pop, Break, Krump, Boogaloo, House, you're eligible. Fill out the registration form and you are considered registered.
Enter early, as spaces are limited. On site registration is subject to space availability.

ALL STYLES & BBoy JUDGING CRITERIA - 1 on 1
The All Styles and BBoy Battle are a 1 on 1 Battles and is open to all dancers male and female. Dancers will be expected to dance impromptu to any style and beat of music selected by the Battle DJ. Judges will be assessing the quality of the performance, musicality, dance technique and the personality of the performer.
1. 1-on-1 battle where each dancer will be challenged to dance to the unpredictable, varied beats of a live DJ
2. The music genre will change for each dancer and can range from any genre of music such as rap, pop, break beats, funk, electronica, house music, etc... (BBoy Battle will be BBoy music)
3. Each round will consist of 2 solo dancers who will battle one another facing each other
4. During the preliminary rounds, the DJ will play one song for each of the 2 dancers.
5. Each dancer in the preliminary rounds will have the opportunity to dance for ~ 1 minute
6. There will be up to 64 open slots for this battle for the dancers to sign-up for (32 battles in the first round). A qualifying round may become necessary.
7. Judges will choose 1 dancer from each round to advance to the next round until the battle progresses to 2 final dancers.
8. The final 2 dancers will have 2 songs each to impress the judges
9. Each dancer will be judged on his/her ARTISTIC CREATIVITY, his/her MUSICALITY, and his/her ABILITY to ENTERTAIN the JUDGES
