WHO WE ARE:
Making A Change Performing Arts Company (MAC PAC) was founded in Philadelphia, PA in 2008 by Director and choreographer Timothy Porter. The company consists of 20 dancers, male and female, that live all over the city of Philadelphia. Each member has an incredible passion and gift for dance, and has decided to take that love to the next level by being a part of MAC PAC. The company is working towards accomplishing goals and achievements that are brand new to the dance world. Timothy and his dancers not only bring about numerous styles of dancing, but they also put their talents to use in the best way possible - by serving the community and displaying their creation for audiences to enjoy. Every show they create focuses on a social issue that will touch peoples' hearts, and also shines light on various struggles our communities face every day. With their powerful, exuberant, and exciting movement, MAC PAC's performances will surely be entertaining, fun and inspiring.
Making A Change Performing Arts Company is geared towards not only dance but the individuality, creativity, and uniqueness of the person as we express our talents but most of all our true inner beings. The company maintains a repertoire of work that display numerous styles of dance ranging from full-length story performances to new works by some of today's finest choreographers. Making A Change Performing Arts Company II, Infinite Styles Crew, is comprised of youth and pre-professional dancers ranging from ages 8yrs to 18yrs old who gain experience by performing with the Company and independently, presenting lecture-demonstrations and special programs to audiences throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding cities.
